Mapleton Art

A group of artists gather weekly on Thursday mornings 9am-11am at Mapleton Library Community Centre. This small group focuses on artistic development, and supporting each other through experimentation with new materials, tools and community projects.

Community Projects:

The ‘Art in Public Spaces’ is going ahead. All 26 letters of the alphabet have been completed. Businesses around Mapleton are currently accepting the offer of having one art work in their window as part of the Mapleton Art Trail.

Art Auction:

Viewing 2:30pm, auction starts 3:30pm
You might have some fine art you wish to sell or you need a beautiful piece for your wall or table top. Make the 5 April a date.
This is a community service as well as a fundraiser to fund more 'Art in Public Spaces' pieces.

Past Community events:

Botanical drawing for the book titled Range and Hinterland Gardening 2023; ran many ‘Sip and Paint’ evenings; ran a friendly art get-together during the mental health community project 2023; illustrated and helped write a children’s book; illustrated gift cards; public art featuring local plant species.
